UTStarcom revolutionized basic communications by launching the industry’s first IPDSLAM platform in 2001. Over time, UTStarcom incorporated the IPDSLAM into its industry leading MSAN. Today, UTStarcom’s iAN8K MSAN product family is a third generation MSAN that can be optimized to meet the operator’s need for an IP DSLAM solution and a host of other applications including ATM to IP migration, fiber connectivity and the underlying access and core network to provision IPTV and triple play services.

UTStarcom’s iAN8K B1000 system provides a scalable and high-capacity carrier-class DSL access solution tailored to meet customer requirements for IP-based triple play applications including voice, high-speed data and multimedia applications. The iAN8K B1000 platform delivers cost-effective and robust “always-on” services and high-bandwidth traffic aggregation capabilities. Advanced Management, QoS and Security features enable a rich mix of revenue generating services without compromising on customer experience.

The iAN8K B1000 system provides a seamless migration path to IP based networks by providing connectivity to ATM and IP networks simultaneously. Comprehensive management and operation support is delivered via UTStarcom’s SNMP-based Netman™ 4000 Network Management Software (NMS) as well as Command Line Interface. The iAN8K B1000 platform is available in various form factors, including rear and front access, to address varied deployment environments in different geographical regions. The platforms are designed for deployment in central office (CO) as well as remote locations.

The iAN8K B1000 IPDSLAM supports numerous applications including high-speed Broadband access and subscriber aggregation, and various enterprise-focused services such as Transparent LAN service (TLS) and “Triple Play” services.
