Single Business Unit
UTStarcom ONUs are cost-effective GEPON customer premise devices designed for FTTB applications. Sized to meet the needs of Single Business Units, the ONUs increase bandwidth capabilities, support growing data needs and provide new revenue opportunities. The product supplies Gigabit broadband service to a connected subscriber’s gateway and/or computers. These ONU elements can be configured and managed remotely via the UTStarcom BBS family (OLT).
ONU 1001i
UTStarcom’s ONU 1001i is a cost-effective GEPON customer premise device designed for FTTB applications, supplying Gigabit broadband service to a connected subscriber’s gateway and/or computers. The Ethernet port’s auto-negotiation feature enables dynamic recognition and support for 10/100/1000Mbps Ethernet interconnections based on subscriber network requirements. The ONU 1001B is configured and managed remotely via UTStarcom’s BBS family (OLT).
The ONU 1001i provides an uplink to the Central Office (CO) via its GEPON port, and LAN connectivity to residential or business subscribers via its 10/100/1000Mbps Ethernet port. A future-proof, Fiber To The Home (FTTH) solution, the ONU 1001i is a critical element in the successful delivery of multimedia video, voice and data over a single optical fiber.

ONU 2004i
The UTStarcom ONU 2004i module is a cost-effective GEPON customer premise device. Designed for indoor residential and Small Office/Home Office (SOHO) installations, it supplies Gigabit broadband service to a connected subscriber’s gateway and/or computers. The ONU 2004i provides three 10/100M Base-T Ethernet interfaces and one 10/100/1000M Base-T Ethernet interface with advanced L2 functionality for data and IPTV video service delivery. The ONU 2004i is configured and managed remotely via UTStarcom’s BBS family (OLT).
The ONU 2004i receives a 1490nm digital signal and transmits a 1310nm digital signal upstream, providing an uplink to the central office through its GEPON port, and a downlink to the individual residential user through its Ethernet port. A future-proof FTTx solution, ONU 2004i delivers voice, high bit-rate data and video over a single fiber.
