NetRing® 600 Platform

NetRing® 600 Platform is a third generation STM-1/OC-3, or STM-4/OC-12 multi-service optical transport platform family of products that effectively combines and delivers separate functions previously attributed to multiple independent platforms. These functions include Terminal Multiplexer (TM), Add-drop Multiplexer (ADM), Digital Cross-connect System (DCS), and Ethernet/ATM switching and aggregation. This integration drastically reduces service provider network, operation and maintenance complexity. Essentially, the NetRing® 600 product family simplifies new deployments and extends the life of legacy SDH/SONET networks, enabling carriers providing next-generation services to realize substantial savings on capital and operational expenditures.
