MPLS-TP Based Packet Transport Network (PTN)

The NetRing^® TN Series of Packet Optical Transport(PTN) products from UTStarcom employs cutting edge technologies to provide an optimal solution for mobile operators to backhaul wireless traffic from 3G and legacy base stations over a converged network. The TN series of products also offer a reliable and efficient solution for replacing legacy SDH and ATM network in the carrier aggregation domain. Managed using the feature rich and widely deployed UTStarcom management system "Netman", the TN series is designed to help carriers reduce their Capex and Opex spending in the metro aggregation domain.

The PTN Product Line uses MPLS-TP to transport TDM, STM, ATM and Ethernet services over GE/10GE or 2.5G/10G POS network interfaces. The product line provides the carrier class sub 50ms recovery resiliency, Hard QoS/SLA guarantees, end to end and multi-layer OAM for ease of configuration and maintenance, Network based Time/clock synchronization, efficient multicast data distribution and is MEF certified.
