Broadband Access
In recent years, the telecommunications industry has been transitioning from legacy circuit and TDM-based networks to Broadband and IP-based next-generation networks. UTStarcom has helped to lead this transition with IP-based next-generation voice and data network deployments in a host of emerging and established markets globally.
UTStarcom’s Broadband product family includes various IP-based broadband access technologies including IP DSL, GEPON, industry leading MSAN and next generation optical transport and edge aggregation solutions (MSTP). UTStarcom’s broadband solutions offer the benefit of converged access, via the MSAN approach, with an integrated TDM migration, POTS termination, DSL, Media Gateway and GEPON access on the same platform, potentially reducing the operator’s capital expenditure (CAPEX) and operating expenditure (OPEX) substantially.
UTStarcom’s iAN8K B1000 Multi services Access Network family is a third-generation, carrier-class broadband access solution designed to empower carriers to provide next-generation multi-services such as IPTV, VoIP and high-speed Internet access while continuing to maintain legacy POTS and leased-line services.
UTStarcom offers high bandwidth application support via a broadband network. xDSL connectivity is provided with support for ADSL/ADSL2/ADSL2+/VDSL2 technologies and FTTx connectivity with support for GEPON. There is an option for bringing the xDSL and FTTx systems together on the BBS 4000 platform, providing an option for xDSL extension. UTStarcom also offers RF Overlay for cable operators, enabling IPTV service to the MSOs.
