8250 PCMS System Maintenance, Diagnostics, and Disaster Recovery
Course Objectives
Identify and install hardware used to build an 8250 PCMS environment
Wire and interconnect 8250 PCMS system components and install and configure MMU and MSU applications
Identify and manage key system and application files within the UNIX® file system
Deploy and utilize diagnostic and troubleshooting tools to analyze the overall health and functionality of the 8250 PCMS
Identify and analyze various log files as part of the troubleshooting and optimization process
Deploy and utilize system monitoring tools provided by UTStarcom
Identify best practices and guidelines for planning, managing, and performing 8250 PCMS disaster recovery procedures
Perform a database backup and recovery of the 8250 PCMS message stores and specific configuration files

Target audience for this course includes field and system engineers, network administrators, and the technicians and managers responsible for installing, configuring, and managing the 8250 PCMS platform.
Course Prerequisites
Before attending this course you should have
successfully completed the UTStarcom 8250 PCMS
Administration course. A general knowledge of
the UNIX® operating system and TCP/IP networking
concepts is also required.
