UTStarcom Inc offers a comprehensive benefits package that supports our employees in their efforts to manage major priorities like health care, wellness, retirement planning, and financial security for themselves and their families. All U.S.-based full-time regular employees and part-time regular employees (scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week) at UTStarcom Inc. are eligible to participate in the following benefits:


Medical plans


Employees' spouses, children, domestic partners, and domestic partners' children are all eligible for coverage under UTStarcom; medical plan availability varies by location:

  • Aetna PPO, HMO, POS, or Healthfund



Dental plan

  • PPO and HMO dental plans.

Two dental plans in one that allow you to change back and forth throughout the year.



Vision plan

  • Vision Service Plan (VSP):

Coverage for annual eye exams, glasses, and or contact lenses with co-pay when accessed through network providers.


Flexible spending accounts


UTStarcom Inc. offers money-saving flexible spending accounts that allow employees to set aside pretax dollars for their annual child-care and health-care expenses


Life insurance


UTStarcom Inc. provides company-paid basic life and accident insurance at 2 time annual base salary, up to $500,000 per year.

Confidential, professional counseling and assistance with life-management issues.


Stock options/Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP)


UTStarcom Inc. stock plans provide employees the opportunity to participate in the long-term success of the company. The ESPP allows employees to purchase stock at a 15 percent discount at specified times during the year.


401(k) program with employer match


UTStarcom Inc. supports employees' efforts to plan for their retirement by providing a discretionary employer match.  Each plan year, the employer match will be announced.


Paid Time Off


UTStarcom Inc. offers a Paid Time Off policy that provides additional days to employees who use their hard-earned time off. The plan works like this:

  • Years 0-1:             20 days PTO
  • Years 2-5:             22 days PTO
  • Years 5-10:             25 days PTO
  • Year 10+:             27 days PTO


Paid Company Holidays


UTStarcom Inc. observes 10 paid holidays per year.
