packed with technological muscle, the CDM8960 camera phone from UTStarcom
Personal Communications, a division of UTStarcom, Inc. (Nasdaq: UTSI), is a
great little package. By combining a small, thin form factor with a large
list of features including Bluetooth(R), memory expansion and a 1.3 megapixel
camera, the CDM8960 delivers both sophisticated wireless communications
capabilities and smart styling. The CDM8960 made its official debut today at
the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in the UTStarcom booth

Measuring (h) 3.7' x (w) 1.9' x (d) 0.8' and weighing 3.2 ounces with the
standard battery, the CDM8960 is one the slimmest cell phones to be sold in
the U.S. The dual-band (800/1900 MHz CDMA) multimedia camera phone features
EVDO capability designed to make it quick and easy to browse the Internet.

With Bluetooth capability, the handset is designed to connect with other
Bluetooth devices in a cinch. In addition, the CDM8960 is designed to support
video on demand and music on demand (carrier dependent) allowing mobile users
to download their favorite movies, TV shows, and songs.

With the 1.3 megapixel camera, consumers will have no trouble snapping,
saving and sending photos to their friends and family. The CDM8960 is
designed to allow text, picture and video messaging and has a standard memory
of 64 MB Flash/64 MB Ram, and a built-in mini-SD card slot allows mobile users
to store additional multimedia files.

Videos and photos will appear sharp on the handset's two-inch 262 Color
TFT (176 x 220) main display screen and 1.1' 65K Color CSTN (96 x 96) exterior
screen. The CDM8960 is designed to support many of the popular video (MPEG4,
WMV, 3GP, 3G3, H.263 and H.262), image (JPG, GIF, Animated GIF, MBP, WBMP,
MP3, WMA, AAC and AAC+) formats.

Additional features of the CDM8960 include a built-in speakerphone, CMK 72
polyphonic ringtones, voice-activated dialing, E911 supported and TTY/TTD
capable. It comes with a standard Lithium Ion 950 mAh battery allowing up to
218 minutes of continuous talk time and up to 334 hours of standby time.
